Best 5 Classic Hikes in Canada

by Admin on June 9th, 2010

SENTINEL PASS
In our humble opinion, the route through Larch Valley up to Sentinel Pass with views of the Valley of the Ten Peaks—is the best hike in the park. It’s also the highest maintained trail m Canada.

PARADISE VALLEY
This journey takes you into a cathedral of some of the tallest peaks in Banff. It’s a photogs dream, with mirror lakes, huge rock walls and cas-cading waterfalls.

BURSTALLPASS
This trail actually starts in Kananaskis Country. 40 minutes south of Canmore. But the effort of getting there is rewarded with fewer companions and wilder country.

HEALYPASS
A gradual Climb through thick forest leads from the Sun-shine Village parking lot to this wildflower-filled meadowy pass.
with a view of Mount Assinibome to the southeast.

HELEN LAKE
The highlight of this hike is the expansive alpine meadow-one of the largest in the park—which is surrounded by impressive moun-tains and glaciers.
